Tryouts took place on March 1st in the school yard behind IS 52. Our coaches saw and evaluated 302 kids over six hours of sunshine and then windy, bitter cold. There’s a lot of talent in this neighborhood and it showed on Saturday.
During the week of March 3rd, teams will be drafted in the six Baseball divisions.
- Monday March 3: Majors (5 teams)
- Tuesday March 4: Minors (6 teams)
- Thursday March 6: Rookies (2 teams), Superstars (6 teams), Farms (6 teams)
- Friday March 7: Seniors (5 teams)
Softball teams will be composed throughout the March 3rd week as well.
By March 16th, team managers will contact families regarding team info. If you don’t hear from your coach by March 16th, please email inwoodbaseball@gmail.com.
Team info should include the team name, division, as well as a plan for practices and games. The season schedule will be released at the coaches meeting on March 15th in the IS52 Gym at 650 Academy Street, 2nd Fl at 11am. They will also be available on the schedules page.
