Inwood Little League lost our Treasurer to a sudden heart attack on May 30th. Diana Castro is survived by her husband Julio, and children Kaylee (12U Softball) and Sebastian (Zeta Minors). We lost a board member, but Diana was so much more.
Diana was family. She was the kind of person who lit up every room with her presence, her laugh, her strength, and her love for everyone around her.
Diana was always the first to lend a hand, the first to cheer someone on, and the one you could always count on no matter what. She supported us in ways she probably never even realized in the tough moments, in the long days, in the work she put into this league. Diana made you feel seen, loved, and never alone.
As a little league, a community, a family, we are heartbroken. And yet she would want all of us to keep going, to stay strong, and to be there for her family, for Julio, Kaylee, and Sebastian. We will forever be grateful for the memories, the dedication, the support, and the bond we shared.
