It’s the battle of the Broadway staples. The Soda Shoppe vs. the Pastry Bakery. Who’s neon will glow brighter tonight?
At 5:30pm, the second-seeded Carrot Top will attempt to upset the top-seeded Dichter Pharmacy like they did in Game 2, yesterday. Dichter will need to summon the pitching and the power they had in Game 1 (and all season). The winner will be crowned spring champion.
Directly following the game, on field 1, there will be a trophy ceremony for ALL the seniors teams. Players from each of the five teams should wear, at least, their uniform shirts.
The seniors is our flagship league. This season was a treat for the kids, parents, coaches, and the community. Almost all the games were close, at least for a time. Remember those nail-biting double-headers that ended with walk-offs? Remember when Manny Done predicted that Apple Bank would win finals, only to lose in the semis with a dropped infield fly? That’s the heartbreak and the drama the makes our league the best in the city.
